Purpose & Scope:

Assist in the periodic assessment of the operations with potential risk to human health. Corroborate the findings of periodic health check-up data to analyze any significant deviations from reference standards. Assist in the implementation of Occupational Health Management System as per “ADNOC Code of Practice” on health. Coordinate with employees and departments for collection, maintenance & retrieval of OH data.

Main Duties

1.      Carries out periodic audit of workplace in order to identify prevailing health risks and the efficacy of the existing preventive measures

2.      Assist OH physician in carrying out quantitative assessment of Thermal Work limit in addition to the evaluation of hydration status & other risk factors for heat related illnesses especially in the summer months.

3.      Collect personal noise dose assessment data and along with daily activities of the concerned workforce in order to calculate the Daily Personal Exposure Level.

4.      Field data collection for airborne contaminants like welding fumes and sulphur compounds using continuous data logging equipment and indicator tubes.

5.      Provide assistance in conducting occupational hygiene monitoring for hazardous agents as per NIOSH, ACGIH & OSHA protocols.

6.      Qualitative and quantitative assessment of ergonomic factors for manual material handling operations in the shop floor and daily computer work in the offices.

7.      Collation & analysis of health surveillance data in order to detect any significant deviations attributed to the specific occupational risk factors in the workforce.

8.      Conduct training programs on first aid & Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to enhance emergency preparedness amongst the workplace.  

 Scope of Duties:

Performs and assists in a variety of activities relating to Stock Inventory Management.  This includes catalogue description vocabulary coding and stock control and replenishment of store materials.  Operates SAP and enters information / data relating to Stock Inventory Management according to policy and procedures.

Catalogue Management

a)      Receives catalogue amendments proposal and spare parts interchangebility record regarding materials / plants and / or their operating spares from users.  Enters catalogue description / data into the computer when finalised by the Inventory Engineer.

b)      Prepares documentation of changes, updates computer printouts accordingly and distributes / dispatches to Inventory Engineers, Buyers, users and stores.

c)      Extracts as directed, data from the technical queries, correspondence with the vendors and the plant documentation and carries out addition, deletions and amendments to catalogue.  Enters queries records and tracks data through computer basis system.

d)      Compiles the hazard and safety data from the vendors’ literature, fills in the chemical data sheet and enters in Computer under the supervision of the Senior Inventory Engineers.

e)      Compiles monthly statistical reports and collects analytical data related to catalogue activities.

f)      Maintains the Plant technical documentation, standards, technical reference books, vendor literature / catalogues the records and technical query correspondence into a reference library for the Department.

Stock Control and Replenishment

g)      Receives approved re-orders, advises from Senior Inventory Engineer, segregates materials of similar nature and accordingly allocated requisition numbers, inputs requisition details into the computer, checks and submits print-out to Inventory Engineers.  Maintains / updates stock master active files within SAP.

h)      Inputs, updates and deletes data related to item records, outstanding orders, re-order levels, lead time, brief description of materials, etc as recommended by Inventory Engineers.

 i)       Inputs details of reservation request raised by users to allocate materials ex-stock or against new / outstanding orders for specific shut-down modification or overhauls.  Checks printout contents for accuracy prior to returning to Senior Inventory Engineer.

j)       Follows up all requests generated by Senior Inventory Engineer to ensure actions are taken and completed.

k)      Prepares data necessary for monthly reports and performance indices under the guidance of Inventory Engineers.

 l)       Performs other similar related duties, such as maintaining and updating cross-reference index (alphabetical v/s numerical), maintaining / updating a filing system for vendors, manufacturers, spares schedules, answering queries for purchasing, stores, and users.
